Devices used to measure body paint on a car?
Which devices are used for paint measurement on the hood?
There are often problems with buying and selling second-hand vehicles. These problems are usually caused by the fact that the vehicle paints are not original and have been changed.
Measurements can be made with devices that can measure the paint on the vehicle body. With these instruments, the health of the body paint can be measured.
With this tool, the work of auto experts and gallery owners has become much easier. Since the device is small in size, it is easy to carry and easily transported.
These are the devices in our company;
- Nitrometer Paint Measuring Device
- Cem DT-156 Paint measuring device
- R&D GM998 Paint Meter
What are the differences in devices?
The Nitrometer device is the most advanced paint measuring device among its counterparts. The margin of error is only 1 percent.
The margin of error is also very low in the Cem DT-156. It provides easy use with its LCD screen.
The R&D GM998 device is also a pretty good price-performance device.
Dye ratios can be understood with micron values.
According to these values;
0-80 micron: there is a replacement part in the vehicle
Between 80-160 microns: there is no paint on the vehicle.
Between 160-200 microns: There is either a paste-polishing process or a scraping and re-painting process on the vehicle.
Between 200-300 microns: the vehicle has one coat of paint.
Between 300-1250 microns: There is more than one coat of paint on the vehicle or the vehicle has been puttied.
