DSG Mechatronic Unit
Mechatronic unit of the DQ200 is located in the gearbox. Its function is managing the torque converter and the clutch pad of the gearbox via the pressure generated from mechatronic.
It is capable of performing shifting gear in a second. DSG gearbox control unit communicate with the ECU to determine the right time to change gear.
DGS transmissions are highly complex systems, and its working principle depends on hydraulic actuators to operate both clutches alternatively.
And the other actuators are just engaged and disengage the gears.
Odd numbered gears controlled with one clutch and the even numbered ones controlled with the other clutch. All of those operating’s controlled by electronic card that located on the mechatronic.
Common DSG Transmission Faults
Internal high pressure hydraulic leaks
External low-pressure leaks
Reverse selector bearing failure
Clutch pack wear
Bearing wear
TCU failure
